Community Sing

COMMUNITY SING:  The Lay Leaders of the area United Methodist churches have planned a community sing here at Sharon to join together in Christian fellowship and to celebrate our new sanctuary.  Please mark your calendar for Sunday, September 12 at 6pm and join us for some great music and worship!  Everyone is invited to bring finger foods and/or a beverage to visit afterwards in our Fellowship Hall, and as host church, we’ll provide paper products, ushers, an acolyte, sound people and a kitchen team to set-up.  (Please let Ramie Cushman know if you want to volunteer.)  Please pray that God may be glorified with the strands of music from the five churches and our community choir!

UMYF News

Now that summer is over and school has resumed, we would like to remind the youth of the church that our weekly youth meetings take place each Wednesday night from 5:30-7PM.  We are in the process of designing a new youth t-shirt, as well as coming up with a name for the group.  Please give any suggestions or designs to Gail or drop them off at the church office.  The UMYouth Fellowship is for youth in grades 6-12.

King’s Kids

Sharon’s King’s Kids is set to resume Wednesday, September 8.  The King’s Kids program is for children in grades K-5 and meets each Wednesday from 3:30-5:15, with the church providing pick up at the three area elementary schools.  Because of the King’s Kids expected participation in Sharon’s worship, we asked that parents or guardians make a covenant with the church to have the King’s Kids in worship on a regular basis.  If you are interested in your child participating in the King’s Kids, please take a form and if at all possible complete it this morning and return it to the church office.
